On Thursday 7th July, 69 Year 8 students took part in a ‘Civil War Day’ at Llancaiach Fawr Manor. Here they travelled back in time to 1645. They met servants from the time and found out about all aspects of life in Wales during the English Civil War.

They made plague pomanders to ward off the plague, took part in a trial by jury, and handled and learnt about various weapons of war. They also showed their military skills when they took part in a Civil War pike drill. The behaviour and attitude the students involved was excellent.
