St Julians School

Headteacher's Update - Wednesday 10th October 2018

It is with great delight that I take this opportunity to welcome you to our new website. We fully appreciate that communicating with all stakeholders, in particular parents, is essential and the development of this site is a significant aspect of our work. It is also a fantastic platform for us to further celebrate the work of our school. I hope you will find it easy to navigate and informative.

As always, we are interested in hearing your views so value any feedback you have with the website. Please refer to the ‘contact us’ section of the site in order to best direct your opinions.

It is hard to believe we are just a few weeks away from our first break of this new school year. On the back of some very positive outcomes at KS3,4 and 5, students and staff have continued to work hard in order to build on this progress. We have recently been informed that Estyn are due to conduct their next monitoring visit on the 23rd - 25th October. This will be another valuable opportunity for us to judge the progress we are making as a school. I will use this platform to keep you updated with news of this visit and future plans in response to their report.

At this stage I ask you to continue to support your child and the school in the positive way you are currently doing so. One of our key improvement priorities is to encourage independence and resilience in all students. Ensuring they are in school on time every day equipped to learn is the starting point.

I look forward to working with you and leading this school through another successful year.
