Competing against other schools across Newport, the girls set the standard and put on a dominating display across the day, winning nine games whilst only drawing one and scoring 33 goals across the day, letting in only 2.

Another strong showing for our girls football provision at St Julian's, with our girls proving to be the standouts across the city.

  • Canteen Price Increase - January 2025

    Published 11/11/24

Chartwells, our school meal provider, has informed the council that the cost of all school meals will be rising from the start of the new term in 2025. From January, school meals at the Newport secondary schools that use Chartwells as caterers will be increasing by 18 pence per meal, from £2.95 to £3.13. The increase will not affect the parents and carers of students who receive free school meals.

Chartwells recognises this will be an added financial pressure on parents and carers, and we would encourage you to check whether you might be entitled to free school meals, by following this link to Newport City Council’s website.

It is also worth noting that families who are eligible for free school meals can also apply for additional help with school costs. You will be able to find out more by following this link to Newport City Council’s website.
