Post 16 expectations

It is very important for you to understand that you have chosen to continue your education with us at St Julian’s; it is no longer compulsory for you to attend school. We have the highest expectations of our Post 16 students and will not tolerate anything less than this. We have outlined our expectations in a document that we will share at Induction. You will need to sign this document stating that you understand the statements and agree to follow school rules and policies. If you choose not to abide by this agreement your place in Post 16 could be at risk.

As you are aware Covid-19 has caused considerable disruption to our lives. In September Schools will open fully again with some adjustments to ensure your safety.  As our most senior and independent students it falls on you to follow these measures impeccably and to lead by example.

Under the new whole school guidelines, Post 16 students are the only ones able to leave the site at lunchtime; Year 10 and 11 who normally leave the site will be unable to do so. At break time and lunchtime t.he Aspire Cafe is allocated to Post 16 students at the times indicated above. There are very few lessons taking place for Year 12 and 13 after lunch so we foresee most students going home for lunch and continuing with independent study for the remainder of the day. Those of you who need to stay in school to study can use the designated areas.

Kind regards,

Post 16 Team.
