COVID-19 contact tracing and self-isolation

In line with guidance from Welsh Government, Track, Trace and Protect (TTP) Team will continue to inform us of a positive covid 19 case within our school.
There are some significant changes to how this will be dealt with, these are laid out below, this eliminates the need for the whole year group to isolate.
Track and Trace (TTP)
If your child tests positive for COVID-19 using a PCR test, NHS Test, Trace, Protect (TTP) team will contact you using the details provided when the PCR test was ordered. You will be asked to identify recent close contacts of your child and for contact details, if you know them, of the individual or their parent/guardian. TTP will then get in touch with these close contacts to provide instructions or advice.
-
Close contacts will be identified by TTP and the we will support them in this process;
-
Only close contacts identified will receive a ‘warn and inform’ letter. This letter will outline that if you or a student is well and has none of the three cardinal symptoms of Covid-19 (a new persistent cough, fever and/or loss of taste and smell) then they can still attend work/school.
-
All identified close contacts, for additional peace of mind will be recommended by TTP that they book a PCR test for yourself or student on receipt of the ‘warn and inform’ letter and then after another 6 days.
We are asking that all correspondence regarding a positive LFD/PCR test result is shared to covid19@stjuliansschool.co.uk or for a POSITIVE test result during the school day, please contact us via: Tel: 01633 224490 - Option 0
Mr R Owen, Operations Manager and Mrs V Williams, Business Manager are the senior contacts in school leading on Covid-19.
