St Julians School

Governance

The Governors with the Headteacher have the responsibility for the overall direction of the school. The Governing body includes Governors appointed by the Local Authority, Community, Staff and Parents.

The governing body is an effective critical friend, it supports the school successfully and sets challenging targets for improvement. Governors play a strong role in setting the school's strategic direction and are highly effective in the challenge and support they provide.

St Julian's School Governing body consists of 22 Voting and 2 non-voting members and provides guidance on all matters relating to the school.

Full Governing Body meetings take place once a term with the AGM being held in July.

Governors receive presentations in advance of the Sub Committee meetings from staff on topical issues.
